Internationally recognised Independent Filmmaker with award winning documentaries, experimental and short fiction films. Good record as a Theatre Artist. Lead actress in "Vellaippoonai", a short film and "Chellamma" a feature film directed by an award winning director B.Sivakumar. An established tamil poet with a critically acclaimed anthology named "Otraiyilaiyena". Publisher of widely recognized titles by renowned writers in alternative tamil literature. Active member in Vikalp, A National forum of filmmakers for freedon and Indian Documentary Producers Association. Editor of Thirai, An Alternative Tamil Monthly Film Magazine. Holding Dignitary State level Positions in Tamil Alternative Literature and Cultural Movements. Academically involved in conducting workshops on Direction, Production, Acting, Filmmaking and Video Production for various institutions. Media Consultant for major Non Government Organisations and Socities committed to social change. Active Radio Producer Presenter in World Space/KL Radio and AIR. Runs Kanavuppattarai, a media firm. which is into publication, Media Training and promotes Touring Talkies Media Works Pvt.
